The Bruins are a joke and the Sabres are boring

  • So the Bruins put Murray on waivers...and no on claimed him. Now they have to buy him out on order to get under the cap. Wait...the Bruins are over the cap? With that lineup? How is that possible?
  • In other news that isn't so interesting, the Sabres re-signed Mathieu Darche. Who is Mathieu Darche, you ask? No idea. Don't really care either. I could basically say the same thing about 95% of the Sabres' roster. What a boring team to root for. Even though they consistently put a decent team on the ice, they are so boring. Not sure how anyone can really be a Sabres fan. It's bad enough that the people in Buffalo have to live in Buffalo. If it wasn't for their the Sabres' superb amateur scout Nik Fattey, their TV access to Hockey Night in Canada and the Ballet being in close proximity, they'd have nothing.

How are the bruins horrible considering they took the number one seed to 7 games last year and have turned the franchise around in the last 2 seasons? And getting rid of an old non-existent forward is worth buying him out. Why dont you write about hockey and not bash the teams you dislike...

Chris,

When did I say they are horrible?

Yes...they did make the playoffs (barely) and yes, they took the top seeded team to 7 games (because of the top seed's rookie goalie stinking up the joint). And yes, that first seeded team did lose in 5 games the next series.

Despite the above, my point was not that the team was terrible. I find it humorous that they are over the cap without having more than one or two player their fans can cheer for. If you're going ot be an average team, at least go out and sign a couple of high profile free agents that people will pay to see.

And i don't dislike them. I just don't care about them...and neither do their fans.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Sabres are boring? Seriously? The score more goals than just about anybody, and give up almost as many. They have been in huge fights, outdoor games, and gone deep in the playoffs the last few years.

You'll get plenty of chances to see boring hockey at MSG this year. I wouldn't be surprised to see at least 2 games this year between NJ and the Rags end at 0-0 regulation, with the teams combining for less than 40 shots.
