Stefan Legein, a 19 year old Canadian who was the 2007 second round pick by Columbus, has announced that he's quitting hockey. Here's the link to the TSN story.

I have seen this kid play a handful of times. He is an energy guy that can score and hit. He played on Team Canada at the World Juniors.
I just don't get it.

The article on TSN says that his parents have no idea.
"Until September 20th (when training camp opens), he hasn't quit anything," Legein's father said.
Wonder if it's a case of an overpowering dad trying to force his son to play hockey despite his lack of love for the game. I saw this at a much lower level (squirts and peewee) growing up. Played with a former Ranger's son. His dad, who was our coach, tried to shove hockey down his throat and he was just never into it. Eventually his dad relented, but it took a while. It will be (somewhat) interesting to see how this shakes out. Don't really care that much, but there could be a train wreck story here somewhere...and who doesn't love a trainwreck?
